Medication take back event April 29 and 30 at several Beaumont campuses
Beaumont Health is partnering with local law enforcement to participate in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Friday, April 29, and Saturday, April 30, at several locations. People are encouraged to drop off unused or expired medications April 29 at Beaumont, Dearborn, Grosse Pointe, Taylor, Trenton and Wayne. On April 30, medications will be accepted at Beaumont, Royal Oak and the Sterling Heights Medical Park across from Beaumont, Troy. No questions asked. Drop-off hours at all locations are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Staff at the take back sites will accept prescribed and over-the-counter medications in pill form. Beaumont, Dearborn, Taylor and the Sterling Heights Medical Park will also accept medical sharps, needles and empty syringes in puncture-proof containers.
