Our dad served in the Army during World War II. He was deployed to France in 1944. He was wounded twice receiving two Purple Hearts and two Bronze Stars for Heroism in Action. Dad rarely spoke of his time in the service and fortunately our sister Sherrie stumbled across his awards. 

Dad chose a quiet life in Northville enjoying his time with family and his friends at Casterline's are proud to honor Elmer Balko and his service to our country.
