Anthony S. Albanese (Tony), was born in 1947 and served honorably in the United States Army from 1965 to 1969. Tony’s Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) was Army Security Agency (ASA). The ASA served as the signals intelligence branch of the U.S. Army from 1945 to 1984 and provided critical support to both tactical and strategic operations during the Vietnam War. During Tony’s tour of duty, he spent a year in Vietnam at the Phu Bai Combat Base, just sixty miles from the demilitarized zone of North Vietnam. In 1969 Tony was Honorably Discharged from active duty having achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant (E-6).
Tony’s service has had a lasting influence on his career, guiding his principles and shaping his contributions to his family and society. His story is a testament to how military experience can forge a path of leadership and dedication in various spheres of influence.
