Edward Joseph Hallo passed away in April 2020, 100 days shy of his 100^th birthday.  During World War II, he enlisted to serve as a Paratooper in the 101^st Airborne, an Army group made famous for their heroism by the book and TV show, Band of Brothers.  His time in the 101^st Airborne included involvement in some of the vital battles that helped free Europe including the Battle of the Bulge and Operation Market Garden.  During leave in England prior to deployment, he met a lovely Englishwoman who ended up being his wife Sylvia.  After the Allies victory in Europe, Ed & Sylvia married in 1945 and together they raised 8 children in the Detroit suburbs.  He always enjoyed attending countless 101^st Airborne reunions over the years, and he was extremely proud to serve our country.
