John George Danias served in the Coast Guard from 1942 until he was honorably discharged as Radarman, 2nd Class in 1946. He was proud of his years of service in the US Coast Guard. He specifically  shared stories of his responsibilities as a cook on board the ships he in which he worked. 

He met his wife, Catherine Lazaris of 64 years, while stationed in Groton, CT. John was a loving husband, devoted father and proud papou! We miss him dearly and are proud to honor him.
