Lt. Col. Kaye D. Jackson was a pilot in the Air Force from 1954 until his retirement in 1976.  He was a pilot of the B-47 and B-52 Aircraft for the Strategic Air Command 379th Bombardment Wing.

In 1968, Kaye was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, which is awarded for heroism while participating in aerial flight, for his service in Vietnam.
