Richard “Dick” enlisted in the U.S. Navy right out of high school in 1964.  He graduated from Aviation Mechanical School and serviced aircraft aboard the US Forrestal.  In 1966 he attended the US Naval Air Station Academy in Guam.  He reported for duty with the Heavy Photographic Squadron Sixty-One (VAP-61). They provided aerial photography for photo intelligence and aerial mapping for the commanders of the Seventh Fleet, flying in the RA-3B Skywarrior.  Dick was committed and very proud to have served his country. 

July 4 was his birthday and he truly embodied the American Spirit.  We fly the flag for him today and every day.
