• Honoring Robert Krueger

  • PFC Robert Krueger, L Co, 290th Infantry Regiment, 75th Division, rifleman and mortar gunner during WW2, received the Bronze Star for participation in the European Theater of Operations during the Ardennes-Aisace Campaign. He later served as theatre manager in Special Services Section at Camp Philadelphia, France.

    After the war, Bob attended Counter Intelligence School becoming an investigator for the Provost Marshals Office, Ft. George Meade, Maryland and later for the U.S. State Department working in Germany. He served 11 years in the Army Reserve retiring as Master Sergeant. Bob received a BA from Rutgers University and an MA from St Louis University. Bob and wife moved to Northville in 1967, purchasing the "oldest frame house" in 1969. Bob loved teaching school for 34 years. He was a member of the Northville Zoning Board of Appeals for 16 years. Bob was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
