    Work Location
     
    This role will be primarily based in our Livonia, Michigan headquarters, however part-time remote work may be acceptable if you can physically be in our local office 50% of the time. Intern roles require 100% premise attendance. Some travel may be required. Mileage reimbursement and per diem will be provided as appropriate per company policies. Reliable transportation is required.
     
     
    Base Responsibilities
     

    • This position provides remote and in person interactions with internal and external customers. Remote interactions are conducted through phones, Microsoft Teams, Webex, and other remote management tools. With external customers, interactions must be professional.
    • Work with customers to create and design a vision for their website needs. This includes a deep discovery of the customers’ business, their plans, and a needs evaluation while uncovering the ultimate goals of the customers web needs.
    • Designer will need to work with customers to come up with appropriate copy for customers website.
    • Build websites using applications such as WordPress, Joomla, adobe, or site jet. These applications will be heavily modified from the cookie cutter templates and do require designers to be able to work outside of templates.
    • Provide customer service for external customers for items related to their websites and marketing needs.
    • Designer will be primary point of contact for external customers once a project has been completed.
    • Answer inbound phone calls and email inquiries for services we can provide and work with business development executives to close web design projects.
     
     
    Shift Information
     
    We are hiring for a first hour shift. We operate normal business hours; however, afterhours and weekend work may be needed depending on project deadlines. This role can be part or full-time or intern level.
     
    Requirements
     
    This position requires 2 to 5 years of experience within the following areas below. Candidates with less than 2 years of experience will automatically be considered for our intern/apprentice positions. If you have more experience or advanced certifications, please consider applying for our tier two or tier three positions. In lieu of 2 to 5 years’ experience an Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, and/or Military Experience will be accepted.
     
     
    A successful candidate must have the following:
     
    • 1 to 3 years of experience building, designing, and updating websites using WordPress, JavaScript, HTML, Joomla, Adobe, and/or Microsoft .net.
    • Excellent communication skills and proper grammar.
    • Candidates must be able to communicate clearly and precisely with customers in person or over Teams/Webex to get accurate information to build a great website/application for end users.
    • Must be able to do basic graphic design and editing. Experience with Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus.
    • Ability to do basic research if customer has the Intellectual Property rights to use graphics and names on their website.
    • Basic level SEO capabilities along with search engine advertising experience.
    • Must be able to integrate third party applications/functions into website via plug-in, JavaScript, HTML, or other coding.
     
     
     
     
     
    A bonus if:
     
    • Are an expert graphic designer for logos and other marketing materials.
    • Experience with server systems running websites and web based applications.
    • Managed IT support as many customers from our telecommunications and managed IT businesses.
    • Bilingual. This is an English speaking role, however those who can speak another language such as Spanish, Arabic, French, or Korean will receive higher priority in fulfilling this position.
     
    Compensation:
     
    Compensation is based on experience.
